Feet For The Fetishist: Notes For Girls On An Odd Desire
|
So, you're dating a guy who told you he likes feet. Or, perhaps you're with a guy you suspect likes feet. (Constant massages, staring at girls' feet and dropping feet into conversation are all giveaways.) Or maybe you're just on to the fact that a huge subset of the male population are foot-fetishists, and you want to turn a few heads. Well, here are a few tips on how to stoke, use and satisfy an odd desire while having a bit of fun.
If you're a normal girl with a normal outlook, the moment you bumped into the world of foot-fetish might have engendered a mild 'what the hell?' Men like feet? Lots of men? Feet are gross, ugly, non-sexual, and they're really just for walking on. What's to like?
Here's the answer: women's feet are beautiful. They're curved and sexy. A barefoot girl has a real sensuality about her, a connection with the Earth. These things combine into a major turn-on for a lot of fellas. Seeing skin instead of shoes will flick the switch from neutrality to attraction... in a totally non-creepy way!
The best part is that you can play to that desire without much effort or any discomfort. Showing breasts or butt means wearing revealing clothing and fretting about body shape and excess fat (I know we shouldn't be we all do). Showing feet just needs warmish weather, a bit of grooming and a little toughening.
If you don't like how your feet look now, don't worry. They'll look great once they've browned and expanded out of the bindings of shoes. You might also be worried about what other people think of you walking around barefoot. There's no need for that either -- you'll find that nobody (except the odd fetishist) cares, especially if you're well-groomed. Besides, it feels great.
Now you might be tempted to just leave your shoes at home and pad around the streets as if you were wearing hiking boots. Don't do that. You'll likely encounter something nasty and be turned off forever. The first tip I have is to carry flip-flops in a bag for the times you encounter ground that you don't want to walk on. When you start, this could be something as minor as gravel, but even later there will be times when the ground is too icky or dangerous for bare feet.
In my experience, the progress of a girl from being always in shoes to being predominantly barefoot is this:
0-3 days: 'Eww, there's a lot of stuff on the ground. Walking on this road hurts. This feels uncomfortable, my feet are dirty and people are looking at me!' Don't panic, just keep at it. The discomfort and embarrassment will go away pretty quick.
3-7 days: It's better, and people aren't staring, but you still have to watch every step. Walking across the rough surfaces will be slow, but it's worth the practice.
1-2 weeks: 'Okay, I think I'm getting used to it.' You probably won't use flip-flops anymore, except for restrooms and places with broken glass. Even roads are alright. Your feet will get dirty sometimes, but they're easy to clean and keep looking nice. And you'll start like how comfortable it is being barefoot!
2-4 weeks: 'I kinda like this.' Now it'll start to feel pretty good. You can even walk across gravel for a while. And you might notice your feet are changing, but you'll need to exfoliate more.
4-6 weeks: 'I don't want to wear shoes out!' At the end of this period, your feet will be supple, tough and pretty sexy. They'll certainly be the same colour as your legs. You'll also notice they're wider and your toes are spread out; the widening process will keep up for a few months. You'll be able to watch where you're going instinctively, so you'll avoid stepping on things without breaking stride. Best of all, it'll feel great, and you can enjoy pleasing your man... or drawing a lot of male attention.

Getting from the first stage to the last primarily needs practice. You need to go barefoot wherever and whenever you can -- for entire days if possible. However, a little thought is also needed. Here are some pointers:
1. Start grooming. Your feet are hardy, but they need care. At the end of each day, wash your feet and soak them in hot water, then exfoliate firmly. Your body will see you're becoming barefoot, and (as nature intended) will start changing you to cope. That means callous and rough skin on your soles. You need to get this off every day, so that your feet stay looking sexy. After the change has moved along, your feet will be tough and leathery (but still smooth and supple) without needing much callous.
2. Dress your feet up. They're beautiful by themselves, but if you wear toe rings, a nice anklet, have well-painted nails and keep them smooth and hairless, they'll look classy and sexy. Also, since they're easy to clean, give them a wash a few times a day. That'll beat people's prejudice in cafes and shops.
3. Be prepared for change. As I said above, you will change as your body realises it needs to walk without shoes. This is not a bad thing. The way you walk will naturally improve -- you'll find yourself 'gliding' instead of plonking your feet down. But their bone structure will also change; your toes will separate and splay a little, and you'll widen significantly. Finally, the skin will thicken on your soles, up the sides of your insteps and around your heels. It won't look gross, just different; giving things a more rounded, less bony appearance. Many people have callouses on their heels from shoes, and these will disappear. A consequence of having thicker skin is that you won't notice little nicks and cuts, so make sure you check for these every day.
5. Prepare to face setbacks. It might be a rough patch of ground, a patch of mud, a stubbed toe or something else. Feet heal and can be cleaned easily, so don't worry. Nature has these things -- if you carry flip-flops for emergencies, you'll be fine.
6. Finally, many people work, and sometimes that means shoe regulations. The main thing is to keep your shoes off for the rest of the time. Go bare from the moment you leave until the time you have to arrive again, and your progress will probably match that above. (I always smile at women in suits padding barefoot across the carpark to the gym in my town.) You'll be surprised at how much time you get to be barefoot outside work, and it's enjoyable to walk shoeless around the supermarket when you're buying dinner.
Of course, if you have a summer break to enjoy, there's no better time to get your feet in shape.
So, now you have healthy, sexy feet. You love walking without shoes almost everywhere. In the eyes of foot fetishists, you have it, so flaunt it! You can draw attention to your feet just by wearing everyday clothes without shoes. Skirts and dresses work particularly well; bare feet will complement any skirt you can think of. Shorts will look great, but your feet might be upstaged by your legs. Jeans and pants work too -- just steer clear of tracksuits if you can.
You'll drive men wild by playing with things with your toes, absently stroking a table-leg, curling your toes over the curb or just gliding along and smiling. Your man will be in heaven. (And he'll owe you.) It's that easy. So amidst an instant attraction to foot-fetishists, and the pleasure and comfort of being barefoot, you have a very good reason to get started.
So go on, bare your feet!
