How To Date An Alpha Female - Winning Her Over
|
I recently just read an article on askmen.com which was basically on how to tell if you are dating an Alpha Female and how to counteract her little techniques and win her over. I thought to myself, hmmmm this is very interesting. So I'm taking a couple of the characteristics they described the Alpha Female to have and going to give some of my own suggestions to help the guys out to win over an Alpha Female =) Getting an Alpha Female is all about the power struggle. She will do her best to gain control over her man and as soon as she does this, eats him, spits him out and then yells "NEXT!". She will ultimately settle down with the one that doesn't give her the power, the one that is reliably dominant over her. Only then will she feel like she has met her match.
1. She acts unimpressed by your romantic gestures
An alpha female is used to men chasing her, so don't be surprised if cliche gifts like flowers and chocolate don't impress her. Remember this: Her expectations are higher than most women's, so you will have to be a little more original to get her attention.

Now firstly this is very true! Women whether they be Alpha Women or mainly just good looking gals they get a lot of attention from guys. So how are you going to be win her over, and how is she going going to be able to distinguish you from the mob of people giving her more attention than she needs? Well firstly don't get her all those lame gifts. They only make her more suspicious that you want something from her. Seriously, think about it! Most nice guys shower. You can do sweet things for her, like surprise her with a nice date, but that's the key. Surprises. Make sure that you are unpredictable so she never knows what you are going to do next! E.g. You can still give her a nice gift, like a perfume. But if you do make sure that you say something along the lines of "And yes I am implying something about the way that you smell" grin and walk away. Girls love mystery so make it hard for her to know what you are thinking or what you are going to say next.

2. She continues to date other men
Clearly, she doesn't want to commit. The alpha woman always has several men on the go and likes to keep her options open.

By continuing to date other men all she is really doing is keeping her options open and testing whether or not you are going to be affected by the fact that she is. She probably play all the guys she is dating off each other! The way to keep her attention is to not allow this to affect you, don't start acting needy, don't start giving her more attention. When she cancels something because she is busy, then the next time that you make an arrangement with her.. make it like 1 or 2 weeks down the track. So that way she is given the impression that you have your own life too and it doesn't revolve around hers. She loves that and it drives her crazy!
3. She's hard to reach
The alpha female is a busy woman, or at least she is very talented at making you believe that. She likes to have you at her beck and call and wants you to work around her schedule.

A girl loves it when a guy calls her while that is dependent on how much she likes the guy. For the ones that she doesn't really like that much then she will appear to be busy. But at the same time, this is also a test for the male. The one thing that you need to realize about the Alpha Female is that she gives more tests than the usual women. And this is where the normal guys go wrong. With Alpha females you gotta notch it up a couple of buttons. Thats all =) To counter this move you have to also give the impression that your schedule is just as busy! Therefore it can even sometime work to your advantage if she calls you and you give her a call back when the time is more convenient for her.
4. She insists on paying her share of the bill
If she always insists on going Dutch, she might be pulling one of her fancy alpha tricks. Why? Because if you never treat her, she'll never owe you anything. Nada.

While the reasoning for acting like this is partially true but it negates some parts. Basically though the woman feels vulnerable when the guy pays. Girls love being treated out and being pampered that's for sure. Alpha Females just don't like admitting it. So it doesn't mean that you shouldn't pay, by all means go ahead but soften the blow by saying "Dont worry.. I'll make sure you get the next one and that will be the most expensive place in town.. ok?" and finish with a cheeky grin.
5. She is demanding
She continuously asks you for favors and you are eager to do them for her. Sound familiar? The alpha female is used to having men pursue her and give in to her every whim. But as tempting as it might be to jump every time she tells you to, do not allow yourself to become her puppy dog.

Basically every time she is demanding she is testing to you to see how you respond. You teach people how to treat you and so if you allow her to act bitchy, or act out or put yourself on call 24/7 what do you reckon she is going to do more of. Not only is acting wussy and listening to her every word harmful to a potential dating relationship, it also means that when you are in one with an Alpha Female that she loses respect for you. So in simple terms, don't take her crap, and put her in her place. You don't know this, but she loves it and exactly why she is so demanding.
So you are at home and you have the your favorite band playing which so happens to be heavy metal. She says "Man that is really bad music!" and you say, "oh really? I didn't notice" and turn up the volume even louder and give a cheeky grin. If she gets upset, don't give her any more attention and she'll soon get the point that there is no point in acting like she is upset, because you don't give her any more attention anyways. Gotta love it right?!
6. She is sarcastic and condescending to you
If she constantly talks down to you and makes rude or mocking remarks, you need to defend your honor and fight back with equally witty comments. You never know what the alpha female might say, so you always have to be "on" and ready for verbal combat.
Winning her over
Now if you had followed all my advice from the beginning then this would probably not occur. This is usually the result of you being way too nice and attempting to kiss her butt, just a little too much. It is also her testing you to see if you can be just as quick and have as much wit as she does. An Alpha Female, wants to find somebody that is good enough for her and your job is to do your best that you are not like all the other guys who take all th crap that she gives out.
A final note. Not only does this apply to Alpha Females, but it also applies to girls in general. All girls have a number of tests that they put guys up to... to basically to see if they are good enough. The worse thing any guy can do, is to be too predictable and too nice. The best things that girls love about guys are cocky, funny and confident guys. Looks and Money come after those =)
