First and foremost, when you are flirting, you have to be in the mood to flirt. The best flirts are not very serious and are usually very playful. Would you rather be with somebody that is serious, and will stand there like a wall and just say ok, yes, and no or somebody who will tickle you and laugh? If your answer would be somebody who is going to tickle you and laugh then you are already headed in the right direction.

Flirting Do's:
  • You should want to make other people feel good. You don't want them to be upset or anything you want them to be laughing and smiling the whole time. Don't concentrate on how bad you look, or how bad you think you are at flirting. Concentrate on the other person's reactions. If they are smiling, laughing, or they look like they are doing anything on a positive note then you have successfully flirted! If they are slumped over, look upset, or annoyed then maybe you should just go to the next person.
  • Ask open ended questions. Who doesn't think it is completely interesting when people are asking open ended questions?
  • Listen to what the person is saying. If the person is talking about how they have a little brother name Joey then remember that so if they later on say "Remember how I was talking about my little brother?" You can then say "Yeah, Joey, what about him?" It works extremely well when you are trying to flirt your way into their life.
  • Look approachable. If you are with a group of people it is so much more intimidating than being alone or with only one other person. Who wants to be rejected in front of a group of people? If you do. Not many people want to be rejected in front of people. So if you are out at the mall with friends leave them for 2-5 minutes to get a drink every one in a while. Or if you are at a bar, walk out of your group of people every once in a while. Both guys and girls will think you look a lot easier to approach.
  • Study their reactions. Watch the face, especially the mouth, eyes and skin tone. Mouths tend to get larger, lips swell, and muscles around the mouth move. At the same time eyes widen and pupils dilate. Skin flushes, skin tone changes to bright red. Become a detective of other people's signals, it will definitely help in the long run!
  • Make the first move. 95% of the guys say they wouldn't mind girls making the first move for once.

Flirting Don'ts:
  • Don't lead people on. If you don't like someone, tell them so.
  • No Pick-Up Lines. Which sounds hotter:
"You look really nice." or "Are you tired, because you've been running through my mind all day."
  • Remember boundaries. People need space to breathe and to feel comfortable to talk. If you are up in their face the whole time then you have crossed the line of comfortably getting to know somebody and they almost definitely will not want to go out with you again.
  • Never lie. People will eventually find out. So be honest from the beginning.

  • Don't fidget. Nothing is less attractive than somebody moving their hands and snapping or tapping their foot. Try to stay calm and flirting will be extremely easy.

Last but definitely not least, WATCH WHERE YOUR EYES ARE! Don't let them wander or waver. Keep your eyes on the prize in front of you and you will be fine. Happy flirting!
