I had a male friend recently return from my past we were just messaging each other to begin with then I broke up with my long term partner. From that day he told me how much he liked me and couldn't wait to see me. He has a long term girlfriend and a child and told me they hadn't being getting on for ages. Apparently her refusal to work has a part to play in this and she has no ambition of which I am quite the opposite. So one night he came over to my house he was telling me how much he liked me and so on and well apart from the physical behavior we had a great laugh. We got on like a house on fire and the attraction was mutual. Afterwards we talked about seeing each other again but made no plans although he did say he would be in touch. Later on that day he called me to see how I was and told me all about his day and kept repeating that I now had his number. I texted him a few days later and he didn't reply. I also have a sneaky suspicion that he has changed his online profile so I can't see when he is online.
What on earth motivates a guy like that? What does he want from me?

Reckon? I reckon you're from the south lol. Ummmm. Maybe it was a booty call who knows? Do you like this guy or what? If you like him, just let him call you then if you think you might be a stalker for texting. Also, there's been times when people don't answer my texts. It happens you know, not because they don't want to answer you but because they're doing something and they say to themselves that they'll reply later, and they forget. I've done it too so don't read too much into the no reply thing.

He does have a real confused profile, but from all what you have mentioned he does not want to be alone in his life. He has a long term girlfriend and a child, but he is still steady with them; he then find you suddenly in his life. Just like old friends he confides in you about his feelings and his strained point in relationship. He finds attraction and love in his life but just to get over what he misses in his current relationship. If he or his conscience has simmered down maybe he would speak to you again. But that depends on how he wants to pursue the relationship.

He wants you to call him, and if he didn't reply, it was obviously inconvenient with that do nothing girl of his. He wants something more and that more is obviously you. He has a kid and stuff so if I were you I'd just be careful

Question Asker Oh god only knows fella. I dare not text him now in case he thinks I'm a stalker. Maybe he was just checking to see how the land lies with that phone call. What do you reckon? - 9 months ago

I think he may have already gotten what he wanted from you ( I'm not indicating that you slept with him) to see exactly how far you would go. Even considering his ''circumstances''. The funny thing about some guys is they always seem to be putting us through tests sooo did you pass? I don't know but he does. Considering how long its been since you last text him and received no reply he either ran game ( or tried ) or just hasn't had the time to get back 2 you. I think the second is unlikely if your feeling someone and the chemistry was on point there is no such thing as not having the time. You could wait it out. Or keep it moving. I suggest the second

Yes, treat us equal in every way, even if it causes us problems

No, we should get equality when we want it, but preferential treatment other times.
