Romance Novels! Guys, what do you think?

I voted A, but I think that all your options have some interesting points to back them up.

In general, I think that romance novels (or romance movies & TV) serve the same function for women as porn & the swimsuit issue serve for men. Not that men can't be romantic and women don't like sex, but I think we each tend to respond to different things.

I love a serious classical novel. But after a long day when I just want to relax, I'll admit it- I like a nice and cheezy romance novel. There's just something relaxing about them because they require little thought. They're easy to read and as a bonus, you get to immerse yourself into a romantic fantasy world that would most likely never happen in real life.

I read them all the time. But not the heavy sex story ones. I like the historical aspects of it cus I'm really into history. And I do like the romantic stories, although some of the guys are huge assholes in the beginning so guys really shouldn't worry that it's raising our expectations too high. lol But in the end it's just a story, like any other. My favorite author is Julie Garwood.
