I always hear about people having dreams about who the like, or what they were last thinking about. But I almost never have dreams. And I really like a lot of people of the opposite sex.
Even when I had a girlfriend I didn't dream about her. But when I do dream its always about dying, or something bad happening. (not to sound emo/goth) Is this at all normal?!
I'm 16 and its been happening for a long time. I have a little brother that died when he was 1 though, and I always thing about it and what it would be like with him. But my dreams aren't about him, there just about death and dying.
Dreaming of death and dying is just a symbol of change, (or transformation even) it doesn't have to be negative. When you're 15. 16 you do change a lot.
Dreams are, in theoretical practice, always tied to strong emotions. The strongest human emotions to date are all tied to, Death, Love, Fear, and Vengeance.
Your dreams are not that uncommon. It seems like many more people dream about sex, because those are the dreams that they wish to remember. And the dreams that friends want to hear.
Don't be afraid of your dreams, and remember that they are just that, dreams.
You could be having issues with your brother's death, but unless his death impacted you in some way significantly, then I doubt it. It might be more of an issue, related to your brother, if there are pictures of him around the home with pictures of your other family members. Then you could be fearing that you might lose others.
Dreams are just that, don't worry yourself about them continually. If they are so frighteningly unnatural that they impede your every day activities, then there is something wrong, and you may need to see a psychotherapist, to get them professionally analyzed, or a Doctor to get some sleeping pills.
