She's friendly and (possibly) likes you.

hmm some what of a positive sign. to me if a cute girl did that and nothing more. then its just a friendly thing. I kind of think of things like in turn based. ok she smiled, small easy move. now its my turn, ill walk by or around her to try to divert her eyes or attention and then smile and wave at her. depending on her reaction willdetermin the next move. if she just smiles and looks away. well then ill stop. but if she's some what intrested and smiles and says hi. then time to make another move then..so what do you think?

If I see a girl smile at me it puts the thought in my head that she might actually like me. It makes me feel as if I can talk to her more easily without worry.

Given that girls are the ones getting the attention all the time, I would definitely take notice if a girl smiled at me. It shows that although she is being paid attention to by most of the guys who walk by her, she decided to pay attention specifically to me. I would interpret it as a very positive sign and as a cue to start a conversation if I was interested in her.

Depends on her eyes. But by and large I'll at least presume she's being friendly. If her eyes and other body postures are positive, then I'd go for at least subconscious attraction.

You probably won't find my answer useful. But if a girl smiled at me right no I was start thinking about sex with her right away. But that's just because I am single + I am at the age of very high sexual desires + I am just freakin horny as hell today!

She is being polite and smiling because we made eye contact. That's just what society tells us to do. I wouldn't be able to read into anything complex though so even if a girl smiled to be flirty I wouldn't think anything of it. Hm.
