Recently I have been wanting to beat on things. Not to people or animals. I just feel destructive, this feeling has lasted for about a week or more. Should I get help before someone sets me off?

I don't see why not. There is nothing wrong with getting help. But also, some people get pissed and need to blow off steam. I started kick boxing. Its a great way to get out your anger and aggression. Personally I don't think you need help but if you are struggling with something internally then there's nothing wrong with talking to someone about it.

It's a judgment call. You seem pretty aware of your feelings..if you feel that it could manifest itself in a physically violent manner, you may want to seek help. If you think that listening to loud music or going to the gym or something like that will help, then maybe that's your best course of action. But whatever you do, as soon as you feel like you're not able to control it any longer, immediately get help. There's no shame in it.

When was the last time you had sex? If it has been a long time if ever, better do something about it. I am totally and completely serious. In many cases, lack of sex really builds up too much testosterone and you become a pressure cooker ready to explode! In some cases way too violently. When you hear about all these office shootings and the like, I wonder what would happen had the gunman saved up some money and hired an escort or visited the local brothel(if legal in that country)? Psychology will tell you that sex can honestly cure the savage beast more so than any prescription drug or therapy could ever do.

If you are unconvinced about sex, then conduct as much mayhem on the Wii, XBox or PlayStation3 to your heart's content. Any given First-Person-Shooter or any of the Grand Theft Autos will do nicely. I just love causing destruction on those games after a lousy day or a bad incident. Personally, I prefer a woman's warmth.

Question Asker Last time I had sex was Monday. I also play first person games or strategy games. Things that I can just overwhelm them for a complete destruction. Now I only play these games when I am pissed off or just want to blow some steam. It helps out a lot. But this time around neither is helping. - 6 months ago

Question Asker Most of my anger is due to my step dad. He's threatened on kicking the whole family out so many times, then he says ill never mount to be anything. Just a poor guy on the street. I got a great steady job. And the list keeps going - 6 months ago
Answerer Ok I thought so and on top of everything else right, its ok your going to get through this, you know how many times people said I would amount to nothing, if I had a nickel I would be rich! Maybe you need to move out and separate yourself from that madness - 6 months ago

Usually when someone is like that, he/she has been bottling things inside. Trust me, I used to be the same way. If you feel that you need to see a specialist, then by all means go right ahead. It's all up to you.

I don't think that you're in danger of harming anyone. Just mention it in passing to the less worrisome of your parents or friends, just see what they think, so they know what's going on.

I get this sometimes, except for me if I see someone I'll get an impulse to hit someone out of no where. I'm not saying this is normal but then again weird stuff happens to everyone. Just don't act on that crazy agressive feeling in public, take up boxing or something.
