Why is it so difficult for men to confront a woman after doing something wrong? Why do they rather avoid us instead of facing us? What are they so afraid of?

For me its pride by admitting I was wrong I feel "less" even though I know its probably the best thing to apologize I feel stubborn and no matter how much I know I should I still won't say it, except in cases where it can't be avoided.

I think that we learn this behavior from when we are little boys and we have to answer to our mothers. now that we are adults, we don't want to have to answer to anybody, but we are answerable to the women that we love, we just don't want to admit it.

I sense a bit of a hasty generalization here.

I'm going to make a bit of an assumption of my own and guess that there is a male in your life who recently did something of a highly regrettable nature and didn't face the consequences. So called "men" like this have yet to reach a mature enough level in their lives to admit their severe wrong doings. And even when they do, most guys will still avoid a confrontation, when possible, if it's about something small.

Like I said, most men, when they are mature and grown up, will take responsibility for their mistakes and do whatever they can to prevent them from occurring again.

The ones you are referring to are boys. MEN account for their actions and face the consequences head-on.

because it's what men do. they avoid a situation if they know that they can't fix it or if they are the one's at fault. for some reason they feel less 'manly' if they have to explain themselves, and yet if it was a woman in their position, we are expected to have an explanation all the time.

i can understand your frustration because I've come across a lot of idiots in my short life. I know the guys here will say that 'real' men own up for their actions and mistakes, but realistically, we ladies know that for the majority of you, it's just difficult for you to do. men *shudders*

I don't think men are cowards. I think they just rather not get involved in an argument. I think they know that when confessing to something wrong, women argue and argue and won't let it go until the woman proves them right. They feel ashamed and would just rather stay out of fighting. Plus women just pay more attention to the little things so no matter what a guy says to her to explain himself she has a witty remark to shoot back at him. I think they feel like women are attacking them verbally when they admit to doing something wrong. They're more simple creatures, not to offend any guys out there because that is more of a generalization. This is just what I think.
