What happens when your boyfriend is what raised your self confidence? I used to hate the way I look. I had been getting better but after dating my boyfriend for awhile my self confidence shot up. (he is always complementing me. My parents have always done that, and a few friends, but it was so different from him) It took him a few months but he changed my mind. I didn't think anyone would be able to do that. Now I'm one of the rare girls who like the way they look and I feel so lucky! Still, is that healthy? Do you think this new confidence (I've had it for about a month) will go away if he does? (of course that would be the least of my worries then. I love him,)

okay, here's what's going on in your brain.

1. after you started your relationship with your boyfriend, your brain started producing new chemicals that start mental and physical changes in you.

you may have noticed your increase in energy, decreased need for sleep, and decreased need for food. yup it feels good to be you.

2. Your brain will produce these chemicals for up to 2 years, after that, Love will have to take over and make you think and act the way that you will as long as you have a healthy relationship with this or any boy.

so the lesson is basically this. Every romantic relationship that you start, will begin this way. it's easy to see why some people jump from one person to the next, when this feeling is so addictive because it makes us feel good.

You're normal, it will last up to 2 years, build your relationship in the mean time. good luck

Question Asker Thanks for the information, but that wasn't really what I was talking about. We've been together 6th months, but I still didn't like the way I looked. He talked me into a little less then a month ago. I also have the feelings you are talking about, but that wasn't what I was talking about. Thanks anyway though. I'm really glad you wrote what you did. It was really nice to know. ^-^ Thanks! - 2 months ago

What would be unhealthy about your self confidence? No it won't, it hasn't for me. I had a fling with the hottest guy in his class last summer, but this was after he graduated. After that I realized I could have any guy I wanted, he raised my self confidence that much. I know that sounds stuck up of me to think I can get any guy I want. That's not what I'm after. It won't go away. My ex helped me with this too!

Advice: How Can I Look More Confident?
Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 18 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What is your favorite outfit for a night out with friends?
Something cute but not slutty, like a black mini skirt then a fancy party shirt. I love hipster jeans (I don't get muffin rolls =]) with either layerd camis and shirts or just one dressy top. If it's formal I like dresses but I'm really particular on the style for the occasion. I always make sure everything coordinates, including accessories =]. I like cute vests and belts too.

How do you style your hair and do your make-up?
I have short hair (shorter than in the pic now, mid-neck) which I usually leave down with a headband that matches the outfit as an accessory, not pushed back to keep my bangs out of my face. I usually do a little colored eyeliner only on the bottom lid (again, to match the outfit) and mascara. Lipgloss, but only clear. I don't like when girls have an insane amount of makeup on--it looks trashy.

Do I have style?
