I'm in this film training program at my school (it's through the state though, it just happens to be at my school, so the majority of people aren't students there). I noticed this guy who's pretty cute, and he looks a lot like someone I see around campus on a regular basis, except he has longer hair and more facial hair.
I would just ask if he goes to my school to start a conversation, but he's always with these two other guys, and I'm almost always with my older brother who's also in the program (and I will always be "Little Lisa" to my siblings). I can work around my brother a little bit, but this guy is never by himself and it's really intimidating to approach him with his two friends around.
lol, Little Lisa, ok. Start by using your body language. Start giving him more eye contact, when he looks around or at you, give him a little smile. If he catches you or is attracted to you, he should start smiling/staring at you, or looking at the corner of your eyes. You can signal your arms to tell him to come here. Say you don't get this, pretend not to know it and let him start explaining it to you. Then just carry on the conversation from there. Its easier than you think!
