I have a ceramics class with a guy I find attractive. I always seem to underestimate myself (or be overly protective/cautious) and think guys are being polite when they might actually be interested in me. So this guy has just recently started saying hello and smiling when I come into class, he stands near me (coincidently?) when there's a demo, he definitely looks at me intently when I comment about his work or when we're just b/s-ing, we both laugh at each other's corny jokes, and he seems to make conversation about anything (to get my attention?) I'm a little shy, maybe a little flirty yet assertive, but I still can't seem to tell if these things are just him being friendly. He talks to a few others in class just as he talks to me, and the class is mostly girls. What other signs would help me determine definite interest? Or are the "signs" too vague?
Update: Some more details: I think he's married, about in his 30's. Does age matter when giving specific signals? Is he flirting like I am to see if we still "have it?" Guys, what are some things I should look for. I'm bad at this, but I'm oh so curious!

I see. Well, see how they act compared with you compared with others? Perhaps this guy is always hanging around you more so than others or he always looks at you and when he sees you looking back he turns or looks away? Those are some signs too but like you said it's always hard to tell and it varies individual to individual. - 2 months ago
I would keep an eye on if he is the one initiating contact. Does he come over to you to talk. Will he cross the room to stand next to you. things like that.
