Bathroom buddies?

Question

pure and simple why do girls go in groups? dudes don't have the urge to watch each other, so why do you? and I'm willing to bet 90% of the guys are wondering the same thing

i'm going to tell you a secret:

when girls go to the bathroom, they're not going to pee (well, maybe 35% of the time they are).

usually we're checking our makeup, fixing our hair, brushing our teeth, talking about something that happened that "OH MY GOD WE CANNOT BELIEVE..." or going with a friend that has to pee. its just because we feel insecure walking to the bathroom, afraid that someone will be saying "ew, look at that nasty girl that's going to the BATHROOM, can't she hold it?" that we go in groups.

(we're insecure about going to the bathroom because guys think its weird that girls have bodily functions)...

see how complicated it is?

its better just to leave it be. we're not watching each other. that's all that matters.

it's sort of a support system. I mean, there really could be some creepy pervert in there, and if there are more of us together maybe we can fight him off or something! also we go to talk about how the night is going and about guys (usually the ones we are with). we ask each other for advice about how we look, make-up, etc. and last, if the stall is out of toilet paper (which happens waaay too much) or we need "feminine things" (you know what I'm talking about) there is someone there to get us toilet paper or other stuff.

It might be something that goes back to the caveman days. Guys can pee and are already in a position when they can runaway from danger and see danger coming.

Women have to squat down so maybe they need pals to stand around to check and see if a dinosaur is coming.

People pee more than they poop. I don't know, I am just making this shit up. :)

Girls go in groups because they use the bathroom as a meeting place and staging area. They let each other know how they're looking, and give each other opinions about guys.

I don't really understand it either, but I think it's because girls usually aren't just going to use the bathroom, they're going to fix their hair, makeup, etc. and sometimes they want input. Plus, you might as well freshen up as a group rather than going one at a time.

And it's a good place to have a quick, private conversation if you're in a public place.

this is what goes on for me & my friends: we gossip, we fix our hair, we fix our make up, we ask each other do we look okay. and we maybe.use the bathroom :)

the lines are sometimes long so you definately need someone to talk to!

Because girls gossip when they go to the bathroom, and you're more likely to get noticed when you go in groups. It's like our version of having a wingman.
