I'm in a long distance relationship. We've been talking for about six months and met for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We have great respect for each other, love one another and before he came out to visit me, we talked a lot about having a future together and the possibility of marriage. He visited and we had a great time and their was a lot of chemistry between us. When he got back to his home town, I noticed something different in his tone and our talks. He told me he loves me like crazy but sent me an email panicking and saying we moved too fast before we'd ever met. He no longer talks to me about a future together or how much he wants me in his life. He still tells me he loves me. He wants to slow things down a bit, but he is flying me out to visit him in three weeks. (KY to WA and he paid for the ticket). He is wanting us to be intimate and have sex and sleep together and just "bond" in that way. He wants us to figure out if we are right for each other. I really love him, but he has a big fear of commitment and feeling trapped. He is also very impetuous and blurts out things, but then panics and takes them back. He definitely loves me, I think. HELP!
Sounds like you're being played if he just wants to bond through being intimate and having sex. Not sure how you plan to sleep with him on a consistent basis being so far away from each other.
Those 6 months you communicated over the internet, it's easy to be a different person and imagine how the other person may be IRL. Until you meet, it's difficult to gauge the compatibility. How does someone love you or how do you love someone just by communicating through the internet? He doesn't really know you and you don't know him. You don't know what he does on a daily basis since there's no in person interaction. Your communication is mainly based on only sound or txt and there are non verbal cues.
How does he love you? What does he do to show you this? By saying he has fear of commitment and feeling trapped? Seriously!
