ok, I really like this guy, but he's considered a nerd that none of the girls even bother to talk to! and we used to be, like, best friends when we were younger, but I never realized I liked him until recently. and it's great, because I'm pretty sure he likes me back.
but here's the problem. I've "won" the heart of a guy that all the girls are after. and everyone thinks we make a great couple, because we have a lot in common, and look alike.
then everyone noticed I liked the nerd and people are getting upset. of course, I shouldn't care what they think, but everyone cares about the guy's feelings more than anything else. so should I just ignore everything and go for the nerd?
Yes, by going for the nerd you're asserting not only the fact that you are your own person, but you will be following what your heart is telling you to do; the moment we start to live our lives because of the whims of others, that's when we begin to have a miserable life. And I'll also add that as you get older, this concept of dating nerds goes away; such view is so high schoolish, that is satirical when I remember those days. :)
Well your friends aren't being very supportive atm they don't understand what you're going through. So the best thing is to just go for it if he really likes you that much then he'll be happy that you like him back. BUT I had this problem and I went out with my best friend but the thing is we don't talk much anymore so just be careful make sure Ur relationship is healthy and I'll guarantee after he/you dump each other you can still b friends
its your PERSONAL life its called personal because it belongs to the person and only this person so its all about you if you think that you like the nerd and he likes you back then its awesome. plus if you find a good guy catch him fast because they are rare nowadays believe me. plus if you care for what everyone else says you never gonna b happy or satisfied if you know what I mean =]
