Some of my friends had a lot of boyfriends, a hundreds make out buddies, a few one night stands. All of these guys are pretty much jerks, not at all their type (and they DO have a certain type of a guy they like the most). My question is WHY do they do these things? If they don't really care for these guys, then WHY are they with them?!?
They are always complaining of me! They say I should do the same things they do! My morals and higher standards will not allow me to do these things! Just anyone is not good enough for me. It has to be someone I really do care for. They don't understand that. Why is that?
You're doing a great job by not settling and knowing your worth/standards and sticking to them. Everyone has their own path that they choose to take in life, but it's not cool that they are trying to pressure you to do what they are. They are not really happy with their decisions but I don't think they know any better.
I think they do it because they are afraid of being alone and feel like they have to have a boyfriend. They can't understand why you would be so choosy about who you spend your time with because they are so used to taking hand-me-down scraps from guys. Just keep doing you, because they wish they had the courage to do it themselves!
