OK, I see where you're coming from now. I still wouldn't agree with the numbers (70% hot) but it is true that a guy will find more girls that he finds attractive than a girl would find guys. I don't think it's lower standards. Perhaps we're just not that hard to please. - 4 months ago
First of all, where did you get these statistics? I'm not quite sure that the statistics are correct, but I'll give you my opinion as to why it may appear that way.
From what I get, the ratio of men to women are 10 to 1. In some areas of the country, I'm sure the ratio is less. Given that statistic, men have more to choose from. Men find different things about all women attractive.
With women, my understanding is that although attractiveness is partly physical, women put more weight on other personality traits that make a man attractive. So, there are more standards put on a man by a woman than a man puts on a woman.
In short, men look a women from a physical aspect. Women look at men in both a physical and personality aspect.
HA!e did YOU get those statistics? The population is close to 51% women, 49% men, so how is that anywhere near a 10 to 1 ratio? And who are you to say that we put more on men? All it takes is a few features of a woman for a man to think she's hot (long, blonde hair, skinny body, big boobs etc...). And what's wrong with not being as shallow to take a man just based on looks? You're answer is pretty bold and that's funny because that's typical of a man to think he's right! lol - 4 months ago

I certainly don't think anything is wrong with my perception or opinions, I think everyone's perceptions are their reality. My reality is that most men wouldn't mind rolling in the hay with a blonde, brunette, fat, big, flat chested, skinny or whatever. The male instinct is to breed. Now, not all men are like that.
What I'm saying is that most women are more selective so their standards are higher and that's alright. I think both our statistics may be over inflated! ; ) - 4 months ago
