okay so ya this is so middle school but guess what i'm in middle school so who cares! (8th grade) i like this guy and his best friend is always trying to ask me who I like, I happen to be good friends with his best friend. And I can't tell if he's asking me that cause he can tell I like his friend and wants me to admit it or if his friend actually likes me? wadda ya think?

Be careful. You don't want to hurt the friends feelings if he's trying to figure if you like him or not and say the wrong name. You can give a hint and say that yes, you like someone, if he seems to brighten up, then perhaps he's asking if you like him. If he just seems to get curious, then he's trying to get you to admit that you like his friend. Something to do, is since you don't 'like' him as anything more than a good friend, tell him that your glad for his brotherly friendship. It will get the point across if he's asking if you like him.
