Why does every guy want skin and bone??

Girls don't like ugly and fat guys. Its the same with us and you can't make us change that. This is not a rant site, its a help and question site. So spare us all this crap and only ask a question when you really want an answer.

I personally like skinny girls and find them sexier than chubby ones.

in high school freshman year I was fat, I didn't have a chance with any girl
so I worked my ass off, literally,got in shape and did sports, then I had a chance, being skinny means your healthy, being fat isn't, and its not attractive

I don't know any of my guy friends who like girls who are skin and bones (but I guess that depends on what you mean by skin and bones). Still, your being a little bias don't you think? Very skinny girls can have great personalities too.

Its hard to overcome basic physiology for most people. And most guys want to feel strong and important, which is easier if your girl is skinnier than you, and shorter than you.

In the end though, I wouldn't stay with a girl long unless she had a great personality, and I think most guys would agree.

I prefer girls who are healthy looking. Super thin is not attractive to me, while a little overweight is not a problem. I don't think I am so abnormal from a guys point of view either. So I don't agree with the assertion in your question. Yes most guys prefer thinner rather than fatter, but not skin and bones.

Well if that's what you think we want, and what your seeing guys with skinny girls all the time, then get with the program and join the game, lose weight and dress sluty duh that's what every guy wants remember.

I have dated those girls, the ones your talking about and even my friends who are women would get jealous of her and say she was bitch because she was skinnier then them. How they came up with that still boggles my mind. So you say well why did I date a girl like that, the answer is simple she was hot, and I wanted a hot chick to show off to my friends, men go for looks over personality, women do go for looks but they settle with personality that's why a guy will get with a girl whose pretty but has a horrible personality.

Plenty of girls don't like me, most, maybe. But I don't get mad at them, I move on.

oh come on! its normal for us men to like skinny girls, we dnt want big girls who we can't pick up, skinny girls in our arms make us feel big and strong, skinny girls look better in clothes also

its in our nature, we just need to deal with it
like me as a guy, I spend hours on making my personality perfect for my dream girl and also on my look but more of my personality, and I'm gonna be honest I'm not gonna waste it on fat chick

Actually, I can speak for myself and most other guys I know, and that is not what we are attracted to at all. That is a misconception created by the media. Most guys like women with some curves. I would prefer a girl who is a little overweight over and underweight one.

Um. Most guys don't want to date anorexic looking girls. Ever. And sadly, girls are just as materialistic as guys.

Why does every girl think that that's what a guy wants? I think it's disgusting when a girl is too skinny! And yeah you better add well most of you that is because not all guys are like that and I hate the way many girls are like this! My girlfriend is certainly not skinny but that definitely doesn't mean she is an ounce overweight and that's why lots of girls think they should be skinny. Think hourglass figure ;)

Just cause a girl is skinny doesn't meen she's anorexic, so don't throw that word around like it's nothing

why does skinny automatically equal hot? I know plenty of guys who are not fazed by a size 0 chick. I'm not saying they like fat girls. its not hard, work at your appearance and care about your health. I'm not saying you have to be a size 0 but there are many guys who don't like the stick thin look. you can be a size 8 and be hot. just be healthy, have a proportionate body, dress nice and be confident. the skinny girls are confident because the media glorifies that body type, but where I'm from thick (slim in the waist thick in the hips & busty) girls are glorified so we are most confident. personality can only take you so far but you gotta look good and know that you look good.

I would say,yea,guys can say "What a hottie..damn..." But I think if that hot girl has an ugly personality,the relationship would not work well.And the personality is really important!

Not every guy is after skin and bone as you put it. Also, not all girls are skinny not all guys have abs. Guys pick their girls on their own standards hopefully on more than just looks. Mine does not like me because I wear a size 4 . Any guy who dates girls for their bodies and nothing more is not worth anything and if that's the only type of guy you know I feel sorry for you.

I mean, all of my life I've seen the curvy girls getting guys because the guys did like their curves, but also because the girls were confident and fun to be around. And sure, some guys just like the thin girls, can you really blame them just because of who they think is attractive? I mean, I doubt you often go for guys who are very obese. It's pretty natural.
And you asked why they can't just go for the personality, when you keep bashing these girls just because they're thin, which just makes you look jealous and resentful. Just because you don't think they're pretty doesn't mean they're not; and maybe they have a great personality.
Most of my friends are guys, and yeah they'll take a second look if a girl seems really hot (whether she's curvy or thin), but once they actually get to know her, her personality is what makes them decide if they want to be with her. And they give most girls a chance if the girl just approaches them first, even if they might not have noticed her before. They're not all as superficial and picky as you seem to think.
Basically I've seen that girls can get some great guys if they're confident, if they believe they've got a lot to offer and they let it show; no matter what they look like, their confidence shines. That goes both ways, too. :]

join the club! but then you got to think do I like fat guys ?no. but I do think guys give us a hard time for even having curves, like I know they say "oh we prefer a girl with a bit of meat on her" but that's bullshit I don't know how many times I get called fat off guys and how many times get rejected by them because I'm not size zero! I'm a size uk 8 sometimes 10 which is us4 and 6 I think? but anyhow I'm not fat just not straight down . and its actually sad because I try cover my boobs my arse so it looks like I don't have curves

A lot of people are superficial. However, there are a few good guys out there who can see past the extra weight or even the less than starlet face. I am very short and I am curvy. My fiance is your blue eyed, light brown haired, fairly toned guy that is very attractive. He prefers curvier women. Not all guys and gals are that shallow. Though I must admit many are.

I once thought this too, until I said to my boyfriend the other day:
"I had to stand in between *** and *** - they're both like sticks! I looked so huge =/"
to which he replied
"Well. . . that's not attractive though. I was talking to my brother about it and we both agreed that we prefer girls with a bit to them!"

Btw: My boyfriend and his brother are both very good looking!
