Not necessarily sleeping around but happens to want to be with a guy she likes and then months later, does it with another guy. does that make her a hoe? I mean, girls want to have fun too. Its not like she's sleeping around wit all kinds of different guys. What you think,, guys? I mean, for guys, they can sleep with a lot of girls and it be ok but if a girl just sleeps with a couple of guys, then she's got a rep? or she's a hoe? that's unfair, right?

I agree with you I think it is totally unfair!! If a guy sleeps with bunch of girls I would call him a slut too I mean fairs fair! Plus I don't think what you did is really that bad I mean stuff like that happens all the time in the relationship world so I wouldn't stress it and I wouldn't worry about the rep thing cause a lot of guys realize that most the time the shit that is said about a girl is bullshit and rumors made up by people!!
I don't think that is being a hoe, and yes it is unfair. Several guys in one week might more than likely will be considered slutty. I say do what you want to, however, if you find the right guy that your have a great attraction towards, what would be stopping you from several times a day with him. Wouldn't that make you happy?
I was just talking to my friend the other day about the same concept you were talking about. Girls are labeled sluts and whores for their sexual needs or desires while guys are praised for their numbers.
Is it unfair? No not at all, it's the balance our society has created. If you want to look a back into the roman times when it was okay for both genders to openly perform hedonistic sex? We'd have orgies and many more bath houses.
But like you were saying, girls would you be willing to give up being the "choosers" to being the ones to pressure?

Well my whole premise was that with the prudish restriction society has given girls, it has also given the power of "choice." Which in turn, men are the presuer. I don't think you should necessarily call it predator and prey, As you have a choice. - 11 months ago

Is this girl dating the first guy still? If she is in a relationship when she does this, then that's the main problem. Being involved with one guy and discovering that isn't the right fit and then moving on doesn't make a girl a hoe. That's just part of the process until she meets the right guy.
I don't agree that it's cool for a guy to bag as many women as he can. But I do understand that is a prevalent attitude in our hyper sexualized culture. Sparing a long Howard Beale rant, it's important to not let the tv (media) define what is right and wrong for you in your own life. You can bet your bottom dollar that the producers of "The OC" or the publishing company that issues Cosmo won't be helping you out any if things go bad. So be careful about worrying whether the mass media considers something to be okay or not. Is it fair? I don't know and honestly I don't care.
Some aspects of morality are tough and this may be one of the burdens that has been allotted to women. It's built into the notion of being pursued or doing the pursuing. Would you be willing to trade those roles? Would you prefer if men carried that moral burden, but women had to try to impress, please, ask out men while we stood at the bar drinking weak James Bond martinis trying to calculate how much money you make?
