To cut a very long story short, a Spanish girl who was on a break with her boyfriend had giving me a serious impression she liked me(holding hands everywhere, saying she didn't want to let me go, spending the whole night at a party of one of her best friends just talking to me, much to the displeasure of the 'break guy' etc) but never said it, and in a club when I disappeared, pulled a guy and when I came back was wrapped around him. She did apologize and texted me the next day saying I'm really sorry, but after talking to my friends among others, they said she just was leading you and you should drop her. Cutting a long story short there was a lot of confusion over the next few days, and I may have been slightly more childish than I should have been but we fell out and then met up yesterday for a coffee to get everything out. Initially she said that she just held my hand all night cos she felt like it, and knew she had led me on and it meant nothing and she didn't know why she had done it. Which obviously wasn't that nice to hear but I remember some things she has said previously such as her 'break' guy went round her house after that party and said were you with him to make me jealous and she said no, which made him even more annoyed because it implied she liked me. Then she was like well yes I was attracted to you(liked you) but I didn't want to say anything cos I didn't know how things were gonna go with the guy and if I went with you and went back to him it would hurt you and if I went to you we may never get back together. But essentially all that mess over the weekend has meant I think it's best we remain friends at the moment. To which I replied, why can't you categorically say just remain friends nothing more will ever happen because by saying now, leaves hope or false hope and after almost saying it she said I can't because I don't know what will happen in the future. Later that evening in a club(neither of us were drunk) she came up to me after saying she is back with the break guy now but was so happy she saw me today and was really happy we talked. Then we spoke again a bit later and I asked her if she was going to this party on Friday night and she replied, no I'm in Sheffield but I would like to meet up for a coffee next week if you would like to? I hope you can understand my confusion overall. My main questions are why on earth did she lie the first time in the coffee shop when we met up specifically to end the confusion? Why did she not say nothing could ever happen? And why on earth does she wanna meet up with me for a coffee? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
Well I can say that she's probably a little slow and all she wanted was a guy for her "break". A lot of girls are like this. Trust me she's not worth your time. let her mess around with some other guy. and she asked you to meet her up for coffee because she just maybe sees you as a friend. Obviously no one will know this answer but her. if your still in contact with her I would text her and ask her. thats my advice to you. =]
