I had this romantic relationship with a guy at work who at that time already had an existing relationship. I knew about it from the start but he came on to me, I tried so hard not to fall but to no avail. I really fell so in love with him. We lasted for less than a year. He promised me, zillions of times, that he would leave the girlfriend, but every time he attempts to something comes up, it never happened. He said he really loves me and wants to be with me but he just can't leave the girl. He eventually left me. It's been 8 months now and I still can't move on. It's just so hard. I am just wondering if he still thinks of me and feels guilty for hurting me.

I may sound a bit jaded, but I wouldn't put it past him to just have used you. Same thing happened to me and to this day (we're not together anymore, but we do talk) he swears he is not with her. I know that they are together and for him it just became a sort of juggling game to keep us both. I think he did love me, but he felt safer with her that's why he never left her.
Well, to be honest, you messed up from the start. You were just a fling. He knew you would stay around for as long a possible. He doesn't care about either one. If any guy in his right mind has a girl and cheats. There is no love just strong infatuation.
