i would rather have the girl break up with me face to face. at least then I know that she had the courage to talk to me and I didn't completely waste my time with her
anything that isn't face to face is bad. I guess I could see on the phone if someone was arguing but still break ups should be done face to face usually the person has earned that
To me, text messaging and online break-ups are equally annoying, tacky, and craven. It's never been done to me, but it was done to a friend of mine. I think I was madder than she was.
Personally, when a girl wants to break up with me, she doesn't have to tell me face-to-face. She can leave me a message, drop me a note or at text or an email - I will get the point and we don't have to go through all the extra added rejection that goes with her having to say it to my face. If she wants to break up with me, I don't even need to know why. I just have to hear the words and I'm gone! I'm not trying to sound mean or disrespectful when I say that. I had a girl that I was really in love with call me one day and tell me that she needs to talk to me and that I should come over. She told me face-to-face and it hurt worse that if she had stuck a knife in my chest. I would have preferred if she would have just told me over the phone or in a letter or email or something because it's the worst thing in the world to have to look the person you love in the face and have her tell you it's over or that she doesn't want to be with you. It was the worst rejection experience I've ever had in my entire life! I never, ever want to go through something like that again! If a girl breaks up with me in the future, I will be satisfied with an email!
Interesting that you left out one way which probably ranks as pretty bad - which is to not say or write anything, just walk. People have to mess up bad not to deserve any word of explanation or even a "see ya". But I would ask when it comes to breaking up, what's a good way? It's like an amicable divorce. It's better than an ugly one, but it's still a divorce. So whether it's bad or worst is not about the media at all, it's in the message. I'll take a sincere note over an ugly, heartless face to face encounter any time.
Nothing at all is definately the worst!!! A guy did that to me once and I was devastated! Everything was fine one minute and then he just fell off the face of the earth! I had no idea what happened - it was terrible!!! - More than a year ago
Note definitely. He/she doesn't have the balls to break up with the guy/girl in front of her. Not only that but you can't reply back that fast which leaves you wondering. When you are breaking up you want answers why and you don't want to wait.
break ups are always bad and I don't think it really matters how you do it.if she wants to be with you, she will be sad anyway. I think some of the worst break ups are the ones that offer that false hope that you might get back together and you need time crap. Those ones really 'do ya in'.
Face-to-face. Break-up in whole is f***ed, so who cares how you break up. But still, leave me a text message and I'd knw not to look at you the next freakin' day.
I voted note, even I have never been in relationship yet lol but started with friends with benefits which is not good because it draws you into more confusions. But I think through the note it's most emotional and stabs you suddenly like with a knife when actually you're expecting to see a love letter in that note and bam you see that you've been foolishly mistaken. gosh I wish I'll never experience this scenario cause I'm too sensitive for that. lol
everything but face to face is selfish and cowardly. I'm shocked at how many people chose text message, online, and note. its selfish because you don't give the other person any closure, they're left in confusion with questions they need answered, but will never get. it can really mess with a person. all because that person was too much of a coward
