well, you know when it is time to say good-bye to that person , what are the best option in breaking up?

Update: talk to that person and tell him how you feel. be honest and most of all, don't change your mind when you know it is the best thing to do. prolonging break-ups can make them even more worse.    A month ago

I see breaking up as you can be nice, honest or rude, lol.
Being nice will leave the person you break up with, without as much of a broken heart at first but as all the what if's linger it gets worse for them, and you also still have a chance to run into them and feeling awkward.

If you're rude, they'll leave you alone, but probably talk trash about you afterward.

And if you're honest, they'll leave you alone and should at least try to understand where you're coming from and not worry about all the what if's. They'll move on if they know you're not happy and if they truly want you to be happy then they got to let you go to find it. And if they don't understand this then they probably see it as you and him, and that's it, but that's more like possession over a person if they don't have the choice to move on in a mature conversation.

From experience the best way is to be honest but considerate at the same time. Remember at one time you cared about that person a lot (or enough to want to date them) and therefore they deserve respect.

Although break ups vary, maybe these are a good things to include:

Try try TRY to do it face to face!

I think before you go into the break up you definitely need to give a reason! The least they deserve is a reason!

Also be aware you may need to talk to them for some time. Be willing to do this (it could make the world of difference and highlights that you do care and respect them enough to give them your time). Don't make them feel like it's just something on your 'to-do-list'. However, if they start getting abusive or yell at you in any manner then walk away!

Following that they aren't abusive etc, ensure that you don't just leave them. Make sure they have some safe and secure way to get home! The worse thing to do is to go home alone after being dumped.

Don't lie! Don't say you want to be friends when you have no intention to ever follow it through! Some people hold you to your word!

If you follow these then it should go okay! All the best!
