How do you do it?

your plan now should be not calling him for 4 weeks, it is my plan and already a week passed and I still didn't contact him. I know it is hard but you did try almost everything didn't u? I know because I used to act the same way you do chasing him and begging for him to come back,I have read all the articles and books about break ups and they all have the same advice I know it seems hard but I guess if you believe it's the only way you can get him back it would make it much easier to follow.,wish you Luck

You can only get him back if he feels the same way you do.
Have a talk with him in person.
You said he still loves you, so try texting him or emailing him. Or leave a voicemail on his phone. -- That way there is no akwardness on either side, and you both have time to really think.
Ask him if you two could meet and talk things through. Give him a date you prefer, but let him choose another date if he won't be available. And say you will wait for his reply.
If you never hear back from him, then it means he loves you but doesn't want to be wtih you anymore.
The only way you can get back with a man is if he feels or wants to get back together as well.

i think what you should do is face him head on and tell I'm how you feel and how you want him back.after all he can't read your mind. talk to each other about how you can fix the communication problem. You previously mentioned he claims he still loves you. so I think he'd be willing to work it out if it mean getting you back
