Just broke up..

oh man. girl I am in the exact situation. except he's not askin me to get back together.
see my boyfriend and I got way to involved, and I guess were doing some things that we normally wouldn't do. we just lowered our standards, and it wasnt very good of us, so he ended up breaking up with me, and it was definitaly the right decision, I will definitely agree with that, because appearantly we couldn't be together without throwing our values away, but we have continued being friends, and really it brings me strength to talk to him. I still love him so much. we were together for 6 months, and it was really hard to just not see him anymore or talk to him. so really it has helped me, even though I want him back so bad, but I won't let myself do that. sometimes we just need to seperate the wants from the needs ya know? but I haven't seen him since we broke up which was 2 months ago, but I get to see him saturday because he's coming to my 16th birthday party, and you have no idea how excited I am to see him!
but since this was nine months ago, I'm sure you have gotten over this, but I just wanted to share my story with you :)

If you want o be with him, do so. What harm is it in getting back with him, unless this was a bad relationship. If you both really care for each other, give it another try.

I think you should just go with him again if you really want to but if it doesn't work out just find someone else, it's ok to get mixed into that confusion because everyone does.

If you really love him and he loves you and you can't stop thinking about him or talking to him just tell him how you feel and when you realize that's the person you want to be with again...then, sure, go ahead and ask him out. You can't keep holding yourself back knowing that you still want to be with him like you said and miss him so much.
