I still like him a lot. I just can't seem to get over him. I initially broke up with him because we wouldn't be able to see each other ever and it was a mutual breakup. I didn't want to, but I thought it'd be wise to do so and save us future pain. I'm still feeling the pain. When I asked him back, he rejected me, citing the same reasons.
We started talking again around December, but it has been several weeks since we were last in contact.
How can I get him back? I've tried "being the friends" thing, but I can't because I still like him. I know I should move on. I wish I could.
Help?
Update: Never mind. I answered my own question. You don't. It's over. He's moved on. It's high time that I do the same.

Good Luck with that... I was told if you want to get over something... Replace it... In your case, If you really want him back... Tell him that breaking up was a mistake... If he has already moved on, then you'll know his reasons for not reinvolving himself in the relationship. In that case he wasn't worth keeping... Good Luck
I think that too much time pass by to mend anything that was broken. I haven't spoken to him in weeks and even though it kills me, I think I have to leave it like that...indefinitely.

Patient gal....i through the same scenario 2. just give him some times. maybe he need some space. in the meantime.. fill your time with activities to distract you from calling him. but..if he still don't text you.. so you have to get over him. move on..believe me..there is someone out there for you. and please don't make friends with your ex. it's hurt to see him when you still loves him.
