My boyfriend of 1 1/2 yrs just recently left me 3 days before Christmas. I came home from work & all his stuff was gone. our relationship from what i thought was fine. we loved each other, had our weekly movie nights together, went on 2 big vacations & still managed to hang out with our friends. everything seemed great. we would bicker here & there, the usual stupid little arguments but nothing to the extreme. no one is perfect!
well, ever since he left, i've been calling him, txting him, writing him letters & i even sent him a box of chocolate dipped strawberries. he has responded to my phone calls, read my letters, & has even txt me back. he even called to say thank you for the strawberries. he doesn't stay on the phone very long, mostly 5-10 min. he's even told me that he doesn't want to talk about anything, he just wants to be left alone but he will "definitely" call me someday...how am i suppose to believe that? if he left me high & dry, then why is he still answering his phone??? when will he call me on his own free will??? i just don't get it!!!
It seems that he simply needs space. He is probably confused about his situation in life and is in need of some time to sort though things in his head. He answers your calls and responds to you to try and maintain some sort of connection with you, which I would take to mean that he doesn't want to loose you completely. Be his friend for now, I know its easier said than done but I think right now that is all he really needs. give him time he may come around yet.
He sounds confused and maybe has thoughts of someone else? I would let him do the chasing from now on. He is giving you clear signs of a future friendship. Just give him his time and space. I know it's all you think about and it's hard to not email and text, but let him figure out what he wants. If he left you high and dry would you want someone who would do that without a reason? He can't talk to you about it yet, but he will. Stay strong and happy when you talk to him. Don't be sad. Be his friend now.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would love to go somewhere casual like putt-putting or a fair .. not the movies though.. at least dinner before.. the point of the date is to get to know each other. I love laughing and relaxed atmospheres , so anywhere not to formal would be fun . it gives both people a chance to open up.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
My favorite past times, movies and books I like , also what kind of music . however I wouldn't spend the entire date talking about me .. we're supposed to be learning about EACH OTHER not just me. lol
