I've had a crush on this guy for a couple of months, and he just so happens to be my older brother's good friend. He was in a relationship for a year and him and his girlfriend broke up about a week ago. He and I have a lot in common and he is totally my type of guy and we also agree to take things slow since we are basically in the same boat. I was in a two year relationship and after I got out I went through those motions that I suppose he's going through. But I said all this to say. Should I take things slow and give him a chance or am I just the rebound girl?

He's known you for a long time if he's your brother's friend so you wouldn't be a rebound girl because there is too much risk involved. Take it slow and that'll guarantee you don't make a mistake on impulse.

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I don't use pickup lines, I just be me and talk to them like I would to any other person. If things lead somewhere they simply do, if they don't, well that's cool too.
How do they typically respond?
Surprised !
That a guy can talk to a girl just for the heck of talking to them without having a hidden agenda
