First of all how well could you possible know this guy? I think I would wait until he gets back and then go and visit your brother and makes plans to meet and see if the two of you hit it off in person.

I would also research the area your brother lives in. For instance the job market, how much it cost to rent and so on..........!

You don't want to move their and find out he is what you thought and then not afford to go back to SD..............you don't want to be want to find yourself like "Dorothy clicking your heels together saying "I want to go home."

The mature thing to do would be visit and also have a plan of action to work towards. Being impulsive always has consequences.

Also what is this guys job over in Iraqi? You should know what he does........depending on what he is involved in over there you don't know how healthy he will be mentally when he comes back and he may need time to re-group so don't rush to Kansas just yet..........!

How did you meet him? how much do you know about him? before making a move like that you should def think about those things. but if it were me id say don't do it. he's leaving for iraq in 5 months. Could you maybe go see him on weekends instead? moving is a really big commitment to make.
