should I wait to call?

Just call her, like the other girls have said, if she's given you her number, she's expecting a call.
Also, I think watching the fireworks works great for a date. I'd be sooo happy if a guy I've given my number to (and hence must at least sort of fancy) asked me to go see the fireworks with him.

I agree with April, if she gave you her number, then odds are she's probably waiting for you to call!
a group outing is probably best for the first time out together and I'm sure the fireworks would make for a fun and memorable night!

Maybe for a first time outing call her and tell her you're meeting up with friends to see fireworks later and you wanted to know if she'd like to join you for some dinner and then meet up with your friends. That way you get some one on one time with her, but it still seems like a pressure free date because other folks are involved. Make sense?

Nah don't call her today, call her Monday afternoon around 7. Shell probably off work and settle and everything, and talk to her then, but don't set up the date on the first call, just talk to her get to know her. Set up the date next week on a Monday or Tuesday, Don't never set up a date for the weekend Wednesday or after.
