Why CAN guys ask girls out?

Guys are taught to be the pursuer, so, they do it by teaching. Plus they know the girl is unlikely to do it herself.

Many guys like to be approached, because it makes it easier for change.

Guys Ask girls out for a few reasons,

1 that's the way we were raised, We were taught that we are supposed to ask girls out

2 if we didn't, then we would go out on dates a lot less

If a girl asked me out on a date and I was single, you better believe that I would be all over that, because, it shows that the girl is not afraid to go after what she wants and if it's me that she wants then it's an ego boost for me as well. I wish more girls would do the asking out

The only reason we men asks you ladies out is because WE think were supposed to, like its some sort of tradition or something. But it is perfectly fine to ask a guy out.
1. It shows that your courageous/ strong woman
2. It turns us on because all men like a strong woman
3. It shows that you are different and are worth giving a chance
It also depends on your relationship with the guy. If you've been friends a while, we judge you on your personality. But if you've just met, we judge girls on looks. Keep that in mind.

Depends on the guy. If he is A-type personality probably not the best idea. If the guy is more what someone might call a "geek" or perhaps even remotely shy, its worth asking. Honestly, it would be a better idea to make the fact that you are interested blatantly obvious. Some guys (me in particular) over analyze things to the point where we talk ourselves out of asking. Is the glance that she gave me from across the room random, or was it on purpose? Perhaps doing that more than once gives it statistical significance, but flirting with the guy at a party or perhaps in the hall before class, is a sure fire way to let him know that you are interested. Unfortunately, there is no general rule here. Every guy is going to be different and you really have to play it by ear. Frankly, some guys are just plain retarded enough that they don't catch the subtle hints that you think are obvious.

We like to think we're the ones who came up with the date idea. Having a girl ask us out makes us think we were to wimpy to ask them out.

Guys in our culture tend to be the initiators so unless he's really shy and/or you know he likes you, asking him out may be a bad idea. The older you get the less it matters, but younger guys seem not to like it when girls ask them out.
