I've been seeing this guy, (we're both 20 and we work at the same building) and I think we're exclusive (he said he is not interested in any other girls). Anyway, recently my grandmother had a stroke, and I was a little upset, even though she ended up being okay. I emailed the guy I'm seeing about it, and he wrote back exactly: "I'll always be there for you even when you meet somebody better than me." I think he was joking around, because he likes to joke about stuff, but I can't tell. What on earth does this mean?
Well, being that I've said things like that and meant it, I would guess that he's a really nice guy and is either feeling low himself and or he wants you to know that he loves you and that even if you decide you don't want him he wants you to be happy. at least that's what I meant when I told the girl I loved that, which she ended up with another guy and I hope it works out for her, even if she told me I was a wasted .shot and a bunch of other stuff, but hey, doesn't mean she wasn't nice at one point or another to me. anyways yea, that's what I'm guessing he meant, I hope this helps
He seems to think that he's not good enough for you. And that your gonna meet someone that you like better and you deserve. If he's joking you should just say well that's never gonna happen because there's no one better for me than you=] and add some winks and jokes in there=] if you think he's being serious then do the same just without the joking. Either way you just need to assure him he's good for you and that you really care for him, you know fluff his ego a little bit, no one likes to feel like they don't deserve something good in life.
I think he was letting you know that he will always be there for you. I think that last bit was him trying to joke around a bit. I think he likes you a lot.
He's probably joking yes, something to lighten the mood a little bit. I'd say he's also pretty serious about you though too. Like he's really into you and wants to always be there for you but if for some reason down the road things don't work out, he still wants to be in your life and be there for you. Maybe he feels like you are too good for him and there no possible way he'd be lucky enough to have you forever.
