Ok, this might sound weird but I met this girl on myspace. She lives around the corner from me. And I've seen her once or twice. we have been talking for a couple days now. And she is gorgeous and has a great personality. I want to ask her to hang out some time. Well see, I have no problem ASKING that, actually doing it will be hard for me. Well, see this, I'm shy. and I'm scared on what to do, and what to say. I know I know, your going to say be yourself. Honestly, that is hard for me. I'm quite when I'm being shy, obviously. I am starting to really like this girl, and I think she is giving me signs that see likes me too. I really want to make a good first expression. Can someone please help me? Just relax. It is hard to take that first step, but if you keep it casual it shouldn't be so hard. My suggestion is a movie, just because you can spend a good chunk of your time watching the screen instead of trying to make inane conversation. Plus it gives you something to talk about later. Find a movie without embarrassing sex scenes (that always made me squirm on first dates), and casually mention you were thinking about seeing it. Ask her if she was interested in going along. WHEN she says yes, don't pick her up, just meet her there. Then offer to pay for everything. I know it sounds shallow in this day and age of feminism, but women like to be treated. It will be a subtle indication that your interest in her is more than just friends. Stop off for coffee or ice cream afterwards and discuss the movie. Which can lead to a discussion about other movies, which can lead to discussions about whatever. Then when you see her off, don't forget to mention how much you enjoyed her company. Don't suggest another date immediately, but mention you would like to see her again, and pay attention to her reaction to that. Don't be afraid to take chances on something you really want. If you pass up this opportunity, you will be kicking yourself for years to come. Good luck, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
