If you like him just talk to him but remember that he has a kid and an ex that he is going to see. And that you are gonna have to share time with other people. If ur ok with that then go ahead.
Well since he does have a kid he might be a little more conservative one might say. I say wait a little longer until you clearly see the connection there, and if yal are getting close you can ask him how he'd react if something happened. After all yal are adults already and why not have a decent conversation asking to lay out the rules.
