Okay so I like this guy, who I have hung out with for a while, and I really don't know if he likes me back cause he's been sending me really confusing signals. According to my friends, who haven't met him just hear about me and the guy hanging out through me, say that it sounds like he likes me. Anyways. He's pretty shy. I made the first move to talk to him and ask him to hang out. While he's really not that shy around me anymore, I have a feeling that if he does like me, he won't make the move to ask me out. But I really like him and don't want to lose him to some other girl. So I want to ask HIM out... I just don't know how. Problem is, I've never been on a date or been asked out, so I'm a big newbie at all this. Plus, I'm scared as hell about his reaction, while I love being friends with him, I do want to go further. My question is, should I just ask him directly like "do you want to go on a date?" or should I be more subtle like "do you want to go out?"? Also how do I ask, do I ask him the minute I get a chance to talk with him or ask him after we've been talking after a while? Please help.
Well hun, now you know how hard it has been for guys to do the asking! LOL
But seriously, when you see him, you should ask him right away so that you can get it out of the way. Tell him you'd like to talk to him for a minute, then go someplace private, and tell him that you were thinking about seeing a movie, and you were wondering if he might like to come with you.
You'll be nervous the first time you ask, but after that it gets easier. ;-)
