OK .Girls/Guys.heres my dilema.I got gift certicates to a restaurant that niether me nore the guy I like have been to. So I was thinking of asking him to come with me, but I don't know how to go about asking him without him getting scared off.So any input would be great!
Update: So I ended up asking him casually...and his reply was we'll see and you'll probably forget...

Well how did you respond? I would have been like, oh, I'm not going to forget... That was a chance to flirt alittle... Hey if you like this guy, you need to show it a little... You know we guys are stupidly blind when it comes to a girl liking us. I know you invited him out to eat, but you said it was casually... I don't know how that went, but I think a little more flirting wouldn't hurt.
& why we'll see, when are you planning to go out. Because that's not a no... Did you ask when he was free to go...?
Well see I casually asked him to go as a b-day present for him...and he responded in saying.."we'll see, I'll be out of the country this year for my b-day, and you'll prob forget".....so I suggested we should go b4 he goes on his trip and he said "maybe we'll see"......i told him I wouldn't forget either....lol...i just don't know anymore - 10 months ago
You really have to be ready in case he can't... but ask anyway. If its a place that he's wanted to check out, you'll have a date. So good Luck on that!
On another note... Don't be so afraid of rejections... If someone tells you no, then know there's a better option somewhere... No guy truly gets scared from such a small request, so if he says no, go on like he's missing out.
Why don't you put it just that way: "Hey, I scored some free gift certificates to this awesome restaurant I've never tried before. I figured you'd be game because you make things fun. Wanna come with?" It sounds innocent enough. If he says no, at least you tried. Good luck!
