This girl and I worked in a group for a good part of last semester in biology. I asked her to come with me to a fraternity formal in Atlanta at the start of winter break. The drive from UGA was about an hour each way, but we talked mostly the entire time. Anyways, it was a really stressful time for me since it was finals, I was social chair and responsible for the event, and I had as my date this beautiful girl.
I wasn't performing at my best (and I've been told by friends that I never gave her any signs that I was interested in her as more that just a friend) but she was definitely trying to be a good date. All my friends and their girlfriends loved her. On the drive back, she seemed more distant that usual, but she told me how she had fun and liked my friends. I dropped her off, but I didn't kiss her. I wanted to, but like I said, I had a lot of things going through my mind. I did tell her that I enjoyed her coming with me. Later that week, she e-mails me asking for my number as she broke her phone. It was only addressed to me, but the e-mail's salutation was "You guys", so I assume it was a blind-carbon-copy.
I e-mail her my number, telling her how I was glad she came with me and for her to call me so that I could ask her to coffee or something.
It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard from her. Everyone has told me that since she's out-of-state for break, she won't call me back until school starts again. I'm not so sure, wouldn't she at least e-mail me back or something? I'm a really picky guy, and I VERY rarely come across someone I like, so I'd like to know if I should move on or be holding out for her call, and if so when should I expect a call?
I think you should try calling her. I was brought up to be the one who is called by a man, not who calls a man. Maybe she was brought up the same way? Maybe she is shy. Maybe she never got your email. Just call her. :) Sounds like you like her, so you've got nothing to lose by calling her.
I would say give it a while, wait till school starts again. Also If you want to tell her something then call her if you have her number *if her phone just broke her number is still the same* or email her and just say that when she gets back up to school you would like to take her to coffee and talk or something. If you like her I wouldn't just walk away from it yet, because if you did have a lot on your mind at that event she might have been looking for signs and on not seeing any back of until school starts or you initiate it and show her that you care even if only in a small way. good luck :)
I met this guy and we exchanged numbers and he asked me when he should call me or expect a call from me and I told him he could call me later on that...

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
Pick up lines, what are we in the 90's? I just introduce myself, I have no time for silly small talk. I don't look to be entertained, I look for a conversation!
