just friends can mean 2 things

2. I don't think you like me so I say this and hope you sound sad and then can turn it into more

-I think you might be the fallback girl, the one who will always be there despite him, he could be gone and you would still want to be with him without him caring in that way

when he said he wanted to see other people, right there and then, to me, that basically tells you that he doesn't want to be with you anymore. he wants 'others' out there. I'd just let him go and find someone just as good or better that'll want to be with you, just you.

I know how hard it is for you because you love him and all you want to do is be with him, but whatever you do, DO NOT blurt out stuff like this "I love you and I can't be without you anymore!"
