Should I stop calling him and just wait for him to call me?

So basically me and this guy have always had a thing for each other for like 3 years but he was friends with my boyfriend (which is now my ex) but the other day we happened to meet at a restaurant and we hung out and he told me that he liked me but was ''iffy'' because me and aaron(my ex) were always on and off.

We left the restaurant and he called me and we talked for 3 hours on the phone about all kinds of random stuff, and how we both felt about each other. So the day after I called him and he didn't answer so I waited several hours to call him again and he answered. We talked for a little bit Then he told me he would call me the next day. He never called and I even tried calling him but he didn't answer. Should I stop calling him and just wait for him to call me? I don't want to seem needy or desperate by calling him so much. What should I do?

I would sit back and let him do the work. he is probably just scared or anxious as to what to do with his emotions. You know that he likes you and that you have feelings for him, so just let him work things through.
