I really like the new guy at work but I find it really hard to talk to him. I've been working at my place for 3 years and I pretty much talk to everyone I work with. I'm a very friendly chatty person but every time I see him I get really nervous and lose my voice so I can't speak! The very most I can manage is a 'Hello' and then I'll quickly walk away.
I don't want him to think that I don't like him but I get nervous when I'm around him. I don't know if he likes me too but he does look over at me and tries to talk to me but the conversations are always very short.
I'm not a shy person in general I just find it hard to talk to guys that I like. What can I do to get over this 'shyness'?
Well if that's your case try me who's afraid of men - not any men but sexy men - If I ever try to talk to a guy - I'm lucky if I don't barf on them! So yours is not as miserable as mine! But try to just come up to him - that's what I do or I take a deep breath in and tell myself "calm down - it's ok the worst he can say is no or you can ask a simple question like where is this place located? " that's what I tell myself - although I did succeed once by telling a guy how I feel but I got turned down. But I got over it! To try to get over shyness is really hard but all I can say is just take a deep breath and tell yourself the worst he can say is no!
