Can a seemingly outgoing guy - who also has a very shy private side to himself, get very nervous around a girl he likes? In a situation that's been going on a while and although he is very outgoing in ways he also seems to get very nervous around me when we get close. We know each other a while. And it's getting annoying because nothing is happening. I've done my utmost to progress this. I also have reason to believe he's been calling me (with held number)and just not saying anything when I answer or else suddenly hanging up. Does this sound at all normal for a shy guy? Is he interested?

He's not calling you - its a media marketing machine, I'll bet you $100 bucks.

Have you even given him your number? Have you touched his arm or put you hand on his chest? He may be waiting for a little cue from you that he understands before he moves forward - it sounds like he either really likes you, or doesn't know how to say he's not into you like that. I know I am very outgoing, yet I sometimes, for some girls, just can't seem to say, hey, I don't like you - usually I can, but every 50 or so, they're just so nice, they kill me with kindness and I don't want to hurt their feelings directly - so I'll try to change topics and talk about the girl I'm actually into.

Cheers

Question Asker No trust me I know he's interested. He just can't seem to make a move. He would literally sit and stare at me and can't seem to talk without smiling. He would get jealous if I was flirting with other guys and he's asked me out before but I was too stupid and surprised to respond - caught off guard. I'm just wondering why guys get so fricken nervous. Is it normal? - 9 months ago
Answerer Yup, that's why most guys don't go after girls they like - it can be so emasculating - due to the whole fear of rejection/nervous thing - if a girl rejects a guy that he wasn't really into in the first place, no big deal - but if its a girl he actually likes - it can hit like a bomb and seriously blow a guys ego for weeks.

Make sure to be as close as you can be to him, get your face inches from his, look at him with bedroom dreamy eyes and part your lips - he will kiss you - let him do it - 9 months ago
Question Asker Thank you. Really appreciate it. I did really regret not responding and kicked myself so much afterwards believe me! And I've made some pretty obvious efforts after that to make up for it but like I said - he just seemed nervous. I didn't know a rejection could be that serious. When he didn't respond to me it frustrated me but not crush my ego. Anyway, I'll definitely take your advice and stay as close as I can. I'm pretty damn crazy about the guy and really don't wanna miss this opportunity. - 9 months ago
Answerer If your rejection wasn't that serious to him and he still talks to you like nothing happened - chances are he doesn't really "like you" like you - but rather that he'll settle for you, for now - its kinda an underhanded way of screening guys - omg, why am I telling you this! - 9 months ago

Hi there.

Change your name to mine and I could have been the one who wrote this entry. I'm in very similar situation and I can certainly understand your frustration. One day it all seems to be moving forward and he seems to be out of his shell...and next time nothing. I would give you the same advice I am giving myself: just relax and see what happens, but don't compromise your dignity as a woman and as a person.

Good luck
