Go to the movies with a bunch of friends and invite her along. You have to get to know her first so she knows the real you. Put the dating stuff out of your mind for now.
Well first off I'd start by trying to get to know the simple things about her show her you care about who she is and what she thinks about things in life. If that doesn't work out maybe there isn't anything there for you two. But get to know her show her you're wanting to get to know her and who she is.
