Is it a turn-off to a 17-year old girl who doesn't have her license yet ? I feel like such a loser for not being able to drive and not have a job at the age I'm at . I'm probably gonna have to get it at 18 . I feel like I don't deserve a boyfriend until I get these things . Guys, is this true ?

Nope~

First off, Most guys don't want their girlfriends driving them around - it emasculating

Secondly, if you had a job, that something else eating up time a potential boyfriend could spend with you.

Don't worry about these things until you have to - You are not a loser.

I don't think having or not having these things makes you a loser . Don't ever think of yourself like that . They are not something any guy should judge you by . Most guys wouldn't ! They have nothing to do with whether or not you have a boyfriend .

Ur concern is understandable but ungrounded . I wouldn't give a shit at all 0% if I was a guy who was interested in a girl in your situation . I demand on being the driver anyway . No concerns my friend . You will get your license soon and it won't make you any more attractive than you are now .

Haha well my girlfriend is 17 and doesn't have hers yet . It's not a turn-off and I don't think she's a loser at all . Really it's no big deal . The only thing that can get a little old is always having to drive to go see her . Like I guess we could see each other more if she had hers and could come see me but that's just a tiny kind of nagging thing . And you shouldn't feel like you don't deserve a boyfriend . If he isn't mature enough to like you for who you are and not based on having a license or not then that's his problem .

I wouldn't mind at all . If anything I like girls less who are "too perfect" meaning that they seem to be better than me at most things . Not really better but more successful and that makes me jealous of the girl and makes me feel like a loser instead . Guys want to date someone who is equal to them (meaning similar popularity, money, success, etc . ) but we would much rather be dating a girl who is "not as good" as us instead of "better than" us . Basically we would prefer to be slightly dominant instead of constantly feeling jealous and at the mercy of the girl since we think that she will probably dump us once she finds someone else .

It doesn't make you a loser by any means . I would get a job if I were you though . But if a guy only likes you because you have a license and a job, is he really worth your time ?

Well, not from a guys point of view . My friend who's 17 doesn't have hers because she failed twice . But, her "guy" I think likes it . He gets to drive her around and spend more time with her . I think it makes him feel like she "needs" him and that he's like being "romantic" lol .
