I have a sarcastic/dry sense of humor and at times I can be "crude" or "perverted".
I had a boy tell me that I was "perverted" today because of a joking comment I made. It made me feel bad for a little while, but at the same time, this guy is ALWAYS talking to me/is my friend, so It's not like he hates me. Then a girl chimed in that she agrees, but this group of guys is always saying how uptight and stuck up she is. They also say its surprising because I am "so beautiful and innocent-looking".
So what, I make sexual jokes. Big deal. Why am I pervert? Perverts are rapists and pedophiles, not comedians. Why is it that girls aren't allowed to make dirty comments, yet boys say things that make me cringe at times and it's okay? Why can't girls be comfortable with sexuality?
Furthermore, is it highly unattractive for a girl to be this way even if you find her hilarious, like I know these boys do? One of the boys happens to be the one I like, and I always have them in tears laughing. I am seriously down-to-earth, relaxed, and always in a good mood.
I am the exact same as you. I don't feel that it's necessary to keep my mouth shut if someone sets up something that could potentially be funny. To be frank, I don't think it's unattractive.
However, it depends on the person. Do you think it's attractive when a guy makes raunchy comments? If you do well then maybe you should stop and reconsider what you say. But I agree 100% on the fact that girls need to be more comfortable with sexuality. We should be able to joke around just as the guys do and not be looked down upon.
Hey girl, good to hear from someone who knows where I'm coming from. It really depends on how far the guy takes it with what he says. I never take it to an extreme that someone would downright be disgusted, but I certainly cross the line farther than most girls. It's like, okay, it's cool for girls to be total sluts, but if I (who is not a slut! ) makes a dirty comment, I am perverted. What gives? - 5 months ago
