My mate keeps talking (not just talking) to this girl and has been for sometime now. My friends and i, including the 'mate' and the girl he likes, went to a club and he seemed to be less alive with her than before until later on in the evening. He put his arm around her and she looked uncomfortable.

What do I do?

It's not the best idea to try and give him tips. If he's shy then he'll have different way of dealing with girls. If the girl looks uncomfortable then just pull him away and talk to him. Not about her but just so she can get used to him or something along those lines. He's obviously coming out of his shell because he put his arm around her but I wouldn't want you to try and help him by making him act more outgoing because that wouldn't be him.
