I am sure that you (ladies) have had plenty of lines thrown your way, some bad, some good (You must be tired, cause you have been running through my dreams all night long -- A GAME material).
I'm curious to know, what has worked on you. Be it a witty line, or an interesting approach, what got your attention.
I'm not really looking for lines here, but more for a description of what caught your attention. Was it what he said, and then what he did after? Was the line so awful that you started laughing, and just started talking to him? Or did he come over, and on the way trip on a banana (they are very slippery on the floor, trust me), and after you helped him up have not stopped talking to him since?
i don't think any pick up lines have worked on me what really good me thinking "hm.lemme see where this is going" is that the guy was being honest and straight-forward
there were a few guys that pulled a line out and I just started laughing [because it was so cheesy/bad!] but ended up having a small conversation with them but that doesn't happen very often
of course, even if a guy was being honest that doesn't necessarily mean I'm interested
For me, it's mostly been just getting my attention. The last guy I dated for any length of time, I didn't really know beyond having met through mutual friends a couple of times. But he managed to catch me one day and kept suggesting days until he found a day I could do dinner with him. And voila, we had dinner and dated for several months.
I have also, upon occasion, been attracted by cheesy pick-up lines, provided the guy doesn't seriously think they make him suave. He has to go at it with a sense of humor.
