I am 17 and I like this one guy in my grade. I heard that he wanted to ask me to prom but was too shy (i just went with my friends anyway). I hang out with him sometimes and when we're with mutual friends he talks to me. We usually park near each other and he'll make eye contact with me and smile, but he never starts a conversation unless we're with other people. Does it seem like he likes me? I'm confused?
Well if the rumor is true that's a good sign. Eye contact is a major plus. You could take the step to talk to him. The walk in from the parking lot would be a major chance. Yell at him and ask him to wait up... ask him how he has been and tell him you two need to hang out again sometime. If you keep relying on rumors you will never really know how he feels. The best way is to talk to him directly.
Why don't you start up a conversation with him? IF he's a shy guy then he'll like if you come and talk to him and guys like we girls make the first move. You should smile and be flirty with him.
Why don't YOU start the conversation? If the prom thing is true, then he at least thinks you're pretty cool. The smiling and eye contact thing is a good sign. I would try to get to know him better.
