Do internet relationships really work? I've seen a few success stories, others even ending with a happy marriage. But with so many networking and dating sites around, it makes you think if it does really work.
It helps the shy guys meet women instead of trying to approach them in a bar or club. The problem that I don't like about Internet dating is that it isn't 100 percent trustworthy. For example, I once asked out a girl online that was my age and from her pictures had a hot body but when I met her in person she was much older and the picture she posted was when she was in High School. She was still amazingly hot so I still dated the woman because I happened to be into older women at the time but ever sense she was ready to get married after 6 months of dating, I broke it off with her for rushing things. We still keep in touch and the friends with benefits thing is still very good but for now we aren't seeing each other all the time as if we were in a relationship.
I've never been totally sold on the whole internet relationship thing, but then again I've never done it. I just question how 2 people can experience things together, provide each other emotional support, and just simply establish that bond that comes from dating someone amazing, through an electronic medium. I mean, there is far more to a relationship than just common hobbies and interests. But that's just my opinion. And I do still applaud those who have found success.
I've tried internet dating but the girls often stop emailing me after a few messages. There might be no chemistry in some of the cases, but is there...
