Just curious if a man may take a long time to get back in touch with a woman he is interested in pursuing. . . .i.e. before you actually have a relationship.
I've been chasing the same woman since January of this year. We previously met 3 years ago on the job, I asked her out but we never dated. Then we lost touch for a long time. I found her on MySpace last year in December and finally decided to ask her out again in January. But then she eventually told me that she has been in a relationship for the last year and a half. She says she wants to break-up with her current boyfriend and has already hinted that she would give me a shot. I of course don't want to be the rebound boyfriend so I'm thinking it's still going to be a few months to a year before I finally go out with this girl. We keep in touch through email and by phone but since I'm currently going through some health problems that I'm not mentioning to this girl I want to go out with, lately there have been a few weeks that go by in between conversations. I'm just shocked that she has mentioned anything about me avoiding her sometimes.
It really depends on the woman. A lot of times you can already see it's no use.
Personally the longest I have ever chased a woman is. 1.5 years (we were friends during that period). yes that's a long time. When I finally had enough courage to confess my love to her it got thrown back into my face. Since then I have never chased a woman again.
To the one who won't chase another girl because of a bad experience.. Women are cruel - I know because I am one. but I also know not all women are like that. You crushed on the wrong woman obviously, but it won't happen everytime. (huh, I think I need to take my own advice lol). I just got out of a bad marriage of 4 years and am scared to look other places now.
